Steps to Configure the LinkedIn Ads Connection

  1. Navigate to the Source Setup page and choose LinkedIn Ads from the Source Type dropdown menu.
  2. Assign a name to your LinkedIn Ads connector.
  3. Under Authentication, select one of the following methods:
    • OAuth 2.0: Input the Client ID, Client Secret, and Refresh Token. Keep in mind that the Refresh Token expires after 12 months.
    • Access Token: Input the Access Token, which will remain valid for 60 days.
  4. For the Start Date, either use the calendar tool or manually input the date using the YYYY-MM-DD format. Only data on or after this date will be synced.
  5. (Optional) Provide a space-separated list of Account IDs if you wish to limit data retrieval to specific accounts. If left blank, data from all accessible accounts will be included.
  6. (Optional) To use Custom Ad Analytics Reports, you can configure reports that tailor the data extraction to your specific needs. To create one:
    • Click Add
    • Name the report (this name will appear as the stream title).
    • Select a Pivot Category to determine how data is grouped (e.g., by campaign, creative).
    • Choose a Time Granularity:
      • ALL: Aggregated data without time segmentation.
      • DAILY: Data grouped by individual days – ideal for short-term trend analysis.
      • MONTHLY: Monthly grouping – useful for tracking performance against monthly targets or identifying seasonal effects.
      • YEARLY: Year-level grouping – best suited for observing annual patterns and long-term trends.
  7. Click Set up source and allow the system to validate the configuration through a series of checks.
