Google Ads

Required Setup

Before initiating the connection, ensure the following are in place:

Steps to Connect Google Ads

  1. In the source configuration menu, locate and choose Google Ads from the list of available data sources.
  2. Assign a custom name to your Google Ads data source.
  3. Paste the Developer Token obtained from your Google Ads Manager account.
  4. For authentication, provide your OAuth credentials:
    • Client ID
    • Client Secret
    • Refresh Token
    • Access Token (optional)
  5. (Optional) Add a list of Customer IDs, separated by commas. These 10-digit identifiers are unique to each Google Ads account. Refer to Google’s help guide to locate your Customer ID. If left empty, data will be pulled from all linked accounts.
  6. (Optional) Use the Customer Status Filter to include only specific customer types. Leaving this blank means data will be collected from every accessible account.
  7. (Optional) Set a Start Date using the date picker or manually input the date in YYYY-MM-DD format. By default, data from two years ago to the present will be synced.
  8. (Optional) Add Custom GAQL Queries using Google Ads Query Language to retrieve specific data points. For each query, you must also provide a target table name for the destination. Multiple queries are supported. Refer to the query guide for examples and syntax.
  9. (Manager Accounts Only) If you’re using a Google Ads Manager account to access data, provide the Customer ID of the manager account.
  10. (Optional) Set a Conversion Window in days to define the post-click period in which conversions are attributed. The default is 14 days. For further details, refer to the Google Ads Help Center.
  11. (Optional) Provide an End Date in YYYY-MM-DD format. Data added after this date will not be retrieved. If left blank, data continues syncing beyond the start date.
  12. Click Set up source and wait while the system validates your credentials and connection.
