Facebook Marketing
Requirements
- A Facebook application with the Marketing API activated
- The following permissions must be granted:
ads_management
, ads_read
, business_management
, and read_insights
.
How to Configure the Facebook Marketing Data Source
- Go to the Source Setup screen and select Facebook Marketing from the Source Type dropdown menu.
- Provide a name for your Facebook Marketing connector.
- In the Access Token field, input your Marketing API access token.
Steps to Prepare Your Meta Developer Account for the Marketing API
To use the Facebook Marketing API effectively, complete the following five steps:
- Sign Up as a Meta Developer: If you’re not already registered, create a Meta developer account.
- Create a New App: Use the Developer Dashboard to build a new application.
- Enable the Marketing API: Add the Marketing API product to your newly created app.
- Generate an Access Token: Secure the required token to authorize API requests.
- Apply for Higher Rate Limits: Request Advanced Access to ensure your application can manage larger volumes of data.
Supported Synchronization Modes
The Facebook Marketing connector allows the following sync options:
- Full Refresh – Overwrite
- Full Refresh – Append
- Incremental Sync – Append (not available for AdCreatives and AdAccount tables)
- Incremental Sync – Append with Deduplication (not available for AdCreatives and AdAccount tables)
